How are you getting to Wagga Wagga?


Wagga Wagga is located midway between Sydney and Melbourne, and three hours from Australia’s Capital City, Canberra, in the Riverina Region of New South Wales.

There are plenty of options to get you here for the 2012 International Millinery Forum, whether you prefer planes, trains or automobiles as your means of travel!
 
PLANES
Qantas and Regional Express (Rex) operate flights in and out of Wagga Wagga airport. The airport is 12km from the town centre (around a 15 minute drive) and a taxi into town will cost approximately $40.00. A number of car rental companies are also located at the airport.

TRAINS
CountryLink offers rail and coach services to Wagga Wagga from Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and regional NSW. Travellers can choose between economy or first class travel, with sleeping berths also available on some longer journeys.

AUTOMOBILES
If traveling by car, Wagga Wagga is approximately 5.5 hours drive from Melbourne, 5 hours drive from Sydney and 3 hours drive from Canberra.

A number of coach companies also service the area, including CountryLink and Greyhound.  Ticket costs and timetables can be found on their websites.

SHUTTLES & TRANSFERS
Delegates can book a seat on the Forum shuttle service, which will be operating airport transfers for selected flights, transport to and from our partner accommodation providers and the Forum activities and also the all important social events. Bookings are essential and we recommend that you book as early as possible to secure a seat. Prices are listed below and are in Australian Dollars:

Unlimited Usage - $40.00
Airport Transfers only – $15.00
Social Activities only - $15.00

Delegates who are not using the shuttle service are responsible for their own travel arrangement to and from the Forum. Car rentals, taxi services and bus transport via Busabout, Wagga’s local bus company, are all options, as are the good old feet if you’re based close enough to the Forum venues.
