Meet the Tutors #5 and #6

Introducing…Jane Stoddart
Jane is a milliner from Sydney, Australia who has been practising for over 20 years. She enjoys developing new design ideas and innovative approaches to materials and techniques. 


Jane operated a retail premises in Paddington, Sydney for many years, has taught at most of Sydney’s leading design colleges and also taught Certificates II, III and IV at TafeNSW Sydney Institute. She has sold her creations through most major department stores in Australia and many fashion boutiques, from Zambesi to Belinda.

Her hat designs have been selected on three occasions as a finalist/semi-finalist in the London-based ‘Hat Designer of the Year’ competition.

Jane will be running workshops on stiffened lace hats and vintage inspired feather birds

Introducing…Jasmin Zorlu
Jasmin is a milliner from San Francisco who was born in Germany and raised in the wonderlands of Japan and Iceland.

She has been creating handmade sculptural headwear with a futuristic aesthetic for two decades – perfect for individuals who enjoy transcending time and space.

Jasmin will be running workshops on using crinoline in millinery and a ‘sewn from the sea’ session involving working with leather – a technique that Jasmin is world-renowned for!
